Touted as having presumed health benefits, it is no wonder that superfoods are all the rage these days. Not only are they dense in nutrients and vitamins, but they are also great sources of energy that will keep you alert and productive. Whether day or night, or even at school or at work, trying these superfoods will put you on the fast track to feeling like a rock star.

Kale: This dark, leafy green is high in vitamin K, vitamin C, and calcium. It also contains sulforaphane, which has high antioxidant properties that help prevent neurodegenerative diseases and cancer. Kale has also been claimed to boost energy. Try baking, steaming, or sautéing, as it helps retain much of the sulforaphane needed to maintain your health.

Tomatoes: Although they are commonly seen as vegetables, tomatoes are actually fruit. Not only that, but they are also widely consumed all throughout the world. They are high in lycopene, an antioxidant which might prevent cancer and protect from harmful UV rays.
