6 Simple Inner Thigh Exercises to Tone Those Legs

Most women have trouble with their inner thigh region and just don’t know how to target it. Squats, lunges and bridges all strip away cellulite and fat from the outer thighs, but the rest is a mystery.

Here are the best inner thigh exercises to get you feeling confident and less body conscious in no time.


Leg lifts: 20 reps on each leg

Lie down on one side and bend one leg. Straighten the other and flex. Lift it straight up and down, without actually touching the ground. Mix it up by going only to your half way point and back down again.


Leg Circles: 40 reps on each leg

In the same position as above, balance the leg in the air just below halfway. Slowly circle the leg clockwise 20 times, and then counter-clockwise. Try to keep your upper body still during this move.


Straddle Beats: 1 minute

Lie on your back on a mat with your legs straightened in the air. Strengthen the inner thighs by moving each leg out until you feel the stretch. As slowly as you can, draw them back to the centre. Repeat this motion.


Mini Plie Pulses: 1 minute

There’s nothing diminutive about this move, because it’s a killer! Standing in a squat position as low as you can, position your legs wide and pulse for 60 seconds. As it burns, your legs will want to draw in closer, but keep them wide to target the inner thighs.


Side Lunges: 40 on each leg

Facing forward, bend one leg and point the other out to the side, straight. Drag this leg on the floor when you bring it back in. Prevent your body from putting all of its weight on the straight leg; it makes the exercise harder.


Stability Ball Squeeze: 50 pulses

This is one you’ll love to hate! Lying on your back, bend your legs and park the stability in-between your knees. Using your inner thighs, squeeze your legs into the ball and pulse 50 times.
