How to Survive that Long Flight for Your Summer Trip

Who’s ready for a summer vacation? I know I am! I also know that long, international flights can be very stressful and tiresome. And that’s why I’ve compiled some tips on how to make flying a little more comfortable. Safe travels!

Before You Board:

Pack Light. If you’re going to have to lug around a heavy bag, you are not going to be happy. Especially is there is a lay over and said bag needs to be dragged around the airport. Really think about what you will need in your carry on…

Mouthwash
Floss
Facial pads
Snacks
Passport
I.D.
Cash/Credit Cards

Side note: Make sure to hide your passport, I.D., and money deep within your bag and use a money clip so nothing goes wandering off in your bag.

Be Comfy. Wear stretchy clothing. Jeans are not really ideal flight clothes so opt for leggings, comfy sneakers, and a cute oversized sweater. Also remember to take your favorite neck rest! You can also squeeze in extra clothes into your carry on in case you spill something on yourself during the flight (if you’re like me then you probably will).

On the Flight:

Technology & EntertainmentMake sure your phone, laptop, and tablet are charged. Download your favorite songs, movies, shows, and ebooks so you’ll have enough entertainment to last you the entire flight.

Snacks. Take healthy snack on board like carrots, berries, and nuts. Heavy snacks like chips can be too heavy especially since you will be sitting down for a long time.

Sleep. Take a nap if possible. If you’re like me then falling asleep in general is not easy, let alone on a plane. Take chamomile tea with you and ask for warm water, this should calm you and hopefully make you drowsy. Sip on this as you read your book and you should be napping in no time.
